If you are trying to send yourself test messages from Constant Contact, and your Outlook email client is refusing to pull the images down and display them correctly, there is a quick way to get this fixed.

Internet Explorer has a security setting that, when enabled, prevents Outlook from displaying images with a secure URL.

To remedy the situation, you can change the setting in two ways, through control panel or through the IE, the browser itself.  (Look for "Internet Options").

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Go to Tools > Internet Options.
  3. Click the Advanced tab.
  4. Scroll down to the Security settings list, then uncheck the "Do not save encrypted pages to disk" option.
  5. Click OK.

Before the changes take effect, we may need to also clear the cache in Internet Explorer and then close Outlook (File Exit to close fully).

After re-launching Outlook, send yourself another email with Constant Contact.  The email should render properly.

If that doesn’t work, then: Constant Contact does have a knowledge base…
