Smart Phone builder

Not sure when one of the manufacturers is going to latch on to this idea... but its time for smart phones to become configurable.  Like a laptop from Dell, or Lenovo, Asus, or any other manufacturer, you go to their site, you pick the processor, the memory amount, the video card, and what ever other options they offer, and you complete your purchase.  This is what smart phones need.  Not just choosing your colors, or the style of case, but picking the type of processor, quad, hex, octa? What about the RAM, 2, 3, or 4 GB? And what about the cameras? 13, 16, 20, other megapixel amount?  Also, lets drop the whole 16, 32, or 64 GB of storage; storage is cheap, SD storage for 64 or more GB's isn't even a topic of consideration price wise right now.  Storage should start at 256GB. Then pick the battery size, the style of case, colors, extra SD cards, etc.  When is this going to happen?  I think the time is right.
